Sales Consultant of Agricultural Equipment - Canada

The Canadian agriculture industry is growing, and you could be part of the momentum with Rocky Mountain Equipment (RME). We are the largest independent dealer of Case IH and Case Construction equipment in Canada, RME consists of 43 construction and agricultural equipment branches and over 1000 employees across the Western Canadian provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. We also sell and service the New Holland brand.
As a Sales Consultant, the rewarding commission-based plan gives you the opportunity to earn, combined with manufacturer cash incentives. Also provided to you to increase your opportunities for success are an employee fleet vehicle or allowance and both a company provided cell phone and laptop.

We welcome qualified Kiwi Sales Consultants deciding to come to Canada alone or with their families. In such cases, both you and your spouse/ partner can be issued work permits allowing you to work in Canada and your school-age minor children attend Canadian public schools at no cost.
The Canadian Working Holiday Program allows New Zealand citizens aged 18-35 to come to live and work in Canada for 23 months.
SALARY: Based on sales commissions. Targeted 1st year salary - $75,00.00 CAD ($100,000.00 NZD); Targeted 2 nd year salary - $100,000.00 CAD (125,000.00 NZD).
LOCATION OF WORK: Numerous locations in the Western Canadian provinces of
Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time (40 hours per week)
CONTRACT DURATION: A minimum of twenty-three months with the possibility to
extend the contract and remain in Canada longer, either on a new work permit or as a permanent resident, with both type of extensions being arranged with RME’s financial assistance.
SALARY: Based on sales commissions. Targeted 1st year salary - $75,00.00 CAD ($100,000.00 NZD); Targeted 2 nd year salary - $100,000.00 CAD (125,000.00 NZD).
BENEFITS: We offer our employees a total compensation package that includes:

- an interest free relocation loan (if requested) of 3,500 Canadian dollars to assist with your initial arrival costs in Canada.
- payment by Rocky Mountain Equipment of your flight/travel cost to your employment location.
- 6 family/health/personal days per year in addition to 10 (Alberta and Manitoba) or 15 (Saskatchewan) days of vacation time. Canada also has 9 statutory (bank) holidays each year.
We will also assist with the preparation of the immigration and legal documents required to be issued a Canadian work permit and help you with finding initial accommodation in Canada.
STARTING DATE: As soon as reasonably possible but most likely in April or May 2024 bearing in mind Canadian immigration laws, work permit processing, and your existing work commitments.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and promote Rocky Mountain Equipment’s products and services in protected trade area.
- Identify and acquire new customers from an assigned territory, and/or a set of names and prospects.
- Lead all aspects of sales process, including: proposals, quotes, and cost-estimating, implementation and deployment of equipment
- Consult with customer farming operations to reduce costs and increase efficiencies by optimizing the latest technology.
- Execute solution-selling techniques through equipment product line and service offerings to bundle overall value proposition.
- Have significant insight and understanding of the market in trade area including awareness of competitive products.
Job Requirements and Qualifications Include:
- Demonstrated ability to grow sales in outside sales capacity.
- Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
- Strong sociability to develop relationships and expand personal network.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence decisions.
- Effective territory management
- Use of RME business system tools consistently and effectively for client documentation and activity
- Attend internal and external sales training programs as well as industry events to ensure continuous professional development.
- Agriculture industry experience is an asset but not required.
Education:
- High school Diploma.
