Grow your dairy career with Pamu: Sharemilking & Contract Milking Opportunities

With a long-standing commitment to growing talent in the food and fibre sector, Pāmu are taking the next steps in this journey, transforming a selection of dairy farms to business opportunities through contract milking, lower order sharemilking or herd owning sharemilking available for the 25/26 season.

1) Quarry Farm (400 cows). Located on the well-known Wairakei Estate near Taupō, Quarry Farm is targeting 152,000kgms this season and presents a great opportunity to enable a leader-doer to consider perhaps their first on-farm business opportunity. The farm is set up for success with a nine-year old 40 ASHB, ACR’s and in-shed feeding.

3) Waimakariri Farm (1,000 cows). In the heart of Canterbury’s high producing dairy country, this 497ha farm has 335ha of irrigated land.  As an established and high producing farm maximising returns through strong cows and grass management will be the reward for the extensive pastoral farming knowledge and leadership experience you will bring.

4) Ruru Farm (780 cows). On the West Coast of the South Island, Ruru farm has performed consistently and still has plenty of upside opportunity. The farm produces 265,000kgms on a twice a day, spring calving system. Many have grown their reputations as dairy professionals on the West Coast and this could be your opportunity to do the same.

To be successful in any of these high profile roles, ensuring you set the standard and lead the way for the success in this new business model for Pāmu, you’ll likely already have business ownership experience, have successfully lead a high performing team and embody the Pāmu spirit of community, respect and learning. Technically you’ll know your numbers, have exceptional grass management skills and a care for animals will be engrained in your business ethos.

At Pāmu, you will be listened to and supported by some of New Zealand’s top agribusiness leaders motivated to partner with owner-operated, agile, high performing business owners.  Critical will be your commitment to communicate (the good, the bad and the ugly), share information and work collaboratively with our leaders as you achieve outstanding results for your team, the land, animals and our natural resources.

He Māori to te wai, He Māori to te whenua, He Māori to te tangata.
The destination is high performing pastoral farming and the opportunity is now.

We’re seeking expressions of interest by way of a covering letter and CV, telling us which of these opportunities you’re interested in, why and your preferred structure:
