Kuratahi Limited is situated less than 20 kms from Taihape in Mataroa. This 1,565 hectare (effective) property is a traditional sheep and beef breeding farm with loads of potential. The 13,800 stock unit property  is located across three blocks and has huge scope for productivity improvement.

Farm Manager role is a leadership position for the business and is responsible for the sustainable operation of Kuratahi Limited. This role is crucial to implementing the farm strategy of sustainable and profitable production of meat and fibre. This role is hands-on and requires a strong reporting skill set. They are responsible for day to day operations and report to directors and the farm advisor.
 
The role also encompasses maintenance and continued improvement of farm infrastructure, plant condition and development of the on-farm team. Strong communication and engagement with the on-farm team will be critical to achieving business outcomes. Building on the team culture by ensuring all staff have a common sense of purpose is a key function of this role. Accommodation provided.

 
Senior Shepherd. Opportunities to up-skill. The Senior Shepherd assists the Farm Manager in carrying out the daily operation across the three blocks, having regard to the overall direction and systems of management as set down by the Farm Manager.  Such work will be directed towards achieving the pre-determined annual targets and policy as established by Kuratahi Limited.

You will need to work actively as a team member in developing and achieving the company objectives. Accommodation provided.


Shepherd Opportunities to upskill. The Shepherd assists the Senior Shepherd and Farm Manager in carrying out the daily operation across the three blocks, having regard to the overall direction and systems of management as set down by the Farm Manager.  Such work will be directed towards achieving the pre-determined annual targets and policy as established by Kuratahi Limited.
