WHERE
Ziwotto Farms Ltd is a 1,280 ha privately owned sheep and beef breeding and finishing farm between Port Waikato and Raglan. The property, Kokonga, features 160 ha of native bush, rolling to steeper hill country, and outstanding coastal views.

Running around 3,500 Romney ewes and 1,000 Angus cattle, the farm is efficiently managed with modern infrastructure, including two woolsheds and new yards due in 2026. With ongoing reinvestment and a focus on trophy-farm standards, Kokonga operates to a high level of tidiness and efficiency.

WHAT
The General Hand role is a hands-on position focused on the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of farm infrastructure, machinery, and water systems. Responsibilities include fencing repairs, monitoring and fixing pumps or leaks, operating tractors and farm equipment, and assisting with weed, pest, and stock management.

As part of a small, close-knit team working alongside the Farm Manager, this role is ideal for a practical, dependable person who takes pride in high-quality work. It offers the chance to gain broad, hands-on experience across all areas of a well-managed, modern farm, with variety, responsibility, and opportunities to develop a wide range of skills.

WHO
