Stockman position | Taupiri Holdings Limited

We are looking for a self-motivated reliable person to join our team on our 1300 ha coastal cattle fattening farm on the west coast south of Raglan. This farm is part of a wider diverse farming business.

The successful applicant will be involved in the day-to-day running of an intensive dry stock operation. Key responsibilities include

  • The ability to work safely, follow instructions, and work independently                   
  • Grazing management in an intensive system
  • Weed control
  • Fencing skills, polywires and repairs and maintenance
  • Water system repairs and maintenance
  • A good eye for animal health 
  • Yard work, drenching weighing loading and unloading trucks
  • Competency with motorbikes, side by side, tractors, chainsaw and /or willingness to learn
  • A full drivers license and gun license ultimately required
The successful applicant will demonstrate interest and enthusiasm to up-skill where necessary (some experience would be an advantage) and must be physically fit and able to meet the demands of the position. Working dogs will be required.

A three-bedroom farmhouse is available, and salary package commensurate with experience. School bus route, and 30 mins to Raglan town.
