Hick Bros Civil

From paddock to Project site - Your skills translate

Hick Bros Civil Construction is looking for experienced agricultural managers/workers ready to take their career in a new direction.

You already have what we need. Running a farm means managing plant and machinery, leading crews, planning around weather, controlling costs, meeting compliance, and getting the job done when things don't go to plan. That's civil construction in a nutshell.

We build geothermal power stations, bridges, wind farms, marine works, stop banks, roads, subdivisions and major infrastructure across New Zealand. The work is varied, the days are real, and the people who thrive here are the ones who've spent years solving problems on their feet.

What you bring:

  • Hands-on experience with heavy machinery and maintenance
  • Leadership of small teams in demanding conditions
  • Budget and resource management
  • A safety-first mindset built in environments that don't forgive shortcuts
  • The ability to read a job and back yourself

What we offer:

  • Structured pathway into site supervision and project management
  • Training in civil methodology, and H&S systems
  • Competitive package and genuine career progression
  • A team that values practical nous over paper qualifications

If you've been running or working on a farm and wondering what's next, have a yarn with us. We’ve got current opportunities in Hawkes Bay, Taupo and Auckland.

Contact us at hick.jobs@hickbros.co.nz or phone Paul on 021 951 203.
